Activities/Attractions: The five acre Ashcroft Farm is surrounded by countryside and yet is only 10 miles from Edinburgh City Centre, providing the perfect setting for a peaceful break or a busy golfing, sightseeing or touring holiday. The area has a wealth of great golf courses from which to choose.

The delightful Almondell Country Park, with its museum and riverside walks, is a short stroll away, and the Royal Highland Showground at Ingliston, with its many associated facilities, is within a 15 minute drive.

This area is dominated by the capital, Edinburgh, a town rich in history and legend with excellent accommodation, restaurants and shops. Visits to Arthur's Seat or Edinburgh Castle provide breathtaking views of Edinburgh, the River Forth and further afield the Kingdom of Fife.

General Information: Welcome to Ashcroft Farmhouse near Edinburgh, Scotland ... where your Hosts, Elizabeth & Derek Scott have been providing Bed & Breakfast Accommodation in East Calder for over 42 years, and extend the same warm Scottish welcome as always to guests from near and far. Derek and Elizabeth are 'young at heart' and have more energy than people half their age - they just love their 'job' too and 'retirement' is not a word in their vocabulary!

Ashcroft is a modern tastefully decorated Farmhouse, set in award winning landscaped gardens, with co-ordinating fabrics complementing the smart pine furnishings. All six bedrooms have:
