General Information: Welcome to 57 Holland Road B&B ... this vast townhouse is to be found just off Kensington High Street, in London, England close to the exhibition halls of Olympia, in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Centrally located on busy Holland Road, it is very convenient for shops, restaurants and transport into and out of the city of London.
The house has been double-glazed to exclude the noise of the road and the owner, a writer, has created a home of great warmth and comfort. Inside, there is the space and comfort of a country rectory, but it is decorated in the eclectic urban style of a world traveller. Perhaps best of all, the house opens on to a small private garden with a gate to lawned communal gardens filled with roses and mature trees.
On the basement floor there is a huge
farmhouse kitchen with an Aga with French doors on to a small private
garden with a fountain and barbecue, which opens on to big communal
gardens full of roses and London plane trees and runs the length of the
block and separately a formal dining room with a piano and harmonium which
seats ten. There is also a full laundry and an extra loo.
