Our magnificent dining room runs for over half the length of the front of the hotel. It is a stunning place to eat providing modern Scottish cuisine prepared from local produce and presented with style so as to compliment this amazing room overlooking the Loch. "12 of us from Northamptonshire stayed for 6 nights in 6 very comfortably furnished Lochside apartments attached to Portsonachan Hotel during April/May 2007. The hotel staff made us very welcome and the waitresses looked after us especially well, never losing their cool with our complex breakfast orders. Everything in our apartments was exceptionally clean, and well serviced daily ... We all were extremely satisfied with our stay and most certainly will be visiting again." "This was our second visit to the hotel and the view from the hotel were even more breathtaking than we remembered. Well off the beaten track but worth the find. Staff all very helpful. Food very good ... We will definitely be back." "The staff were great, the room beautiful and very clean. The food was just the best. The views were out of this world and breakfast in the conservatory was just an experience and you do not want to leave." "Stayed for 6 glorious nights at the marvelous Portsonachan Hotel at the end of a two week tour of Scotland and this was the highpoint of our tour. The hotel has marvellous views over Loch Awe. This was our second visit and it did not disappoint in any way. The staff, mainly from eastern europe, were very pleasant and helpful. Food served in the restaurant and bar is of a very high quality and locally is sourced, a Portsonachan breakfast sets one up for a good days exploring and there is a lot to see in the area." "We had a really lovely time here. Travel directions where easy to follow. Apartment was everything it said in the brochure, very well equipped. Staff where most helpful & very friendly." |

We stayed in one of the Lochside suites which was lovely with fantastic views on to Loch Awe, no complaints whatsoever! The food was lovely and very reasonably priced, including the breakfast which comes with the price of the room. I think what made our weekend so pleasurable was the staff in the hotel. They were friendly, very hardworking and down to earth. All in all, a very pleasurable experience and highly recommended. Just wish we could have stayed longer than a weekend!" The staff couldn't do enough for you, the rooms were exceptionally clean and the food was great ... If you want a relaxing atmosphere then this really is the place to be.
