B&B Palazzo Bruchi Siena Tuscany Italy Bed and Breakfast Lodgings Accommodations
Host: Maria Cristina Masignani
Address: Via Pantaneto, 105 Siena, Tuscany 53100 Italy
Nearby Attractions: Tuscany is the most celebrated region of Italy and rightly so. It has picture postcard countryside vistas that embody all the romance of rural Italy, fine beaches, art, architecture and some of Italy’s best food. Tuscany is also home to Siena, one of the country’s most perfect medieval towns. From Palazzo Pubblico’s tower, a world of hidden gothic homes, pastry stores and twisting alleys stretches out.
In the Campo, Siena’s central plaza, the Palio (a horse race which is an integral part of traditional Sienese culture) is held twice each year. Traffic is prohibited in this famous town square which is only 4 streets away from olive groves and orchards. Siena’s Duomo (Cathedral) is a spectacular example of Gothic Italian architecture, and the accompanying museum houses magnificent works by Italian masters such as Duccio and Giotto.
B&B Palazzo Bruchi is just a few miles from the Chianti country side and from a number of important artistic places such as Pienza, Monteriggioni, Montalcino, S. Gimignano and Florence (all of them easily reachable by car or by bus).
"This is without a doubt the best hotel we stayed at during our two weeks in Italy. The room was enormous, extremely comfortable in every way possible, spotless, with absolutely gorgeous furniture and even a ceiling fresco. The two women who run this B&B are fabulous. Their English is superb, and they seem to take a genuine pleasure in being as helpful and accommodating as possible. Both made several phone calls for us so that we wouldn't have to try to understand and communicate in Italian. At the end of our trip to Italy, we returned to Siena and to this B&B because it was a highlight of the trip."
"A good value for your dollar. We stayed in the Blue room and it was large, clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. A good location. Close to most things in Siena."
"We just returned from our first trip to Italy and stayed at Palazzo Bruchi for 3 nights while in Siena. What a beautiful place and our view of the old city walls and the countryside was just breath taking. Several good places to eat close by and just a few blocks walk to the Campo. My husband and I had the Blue Room and our girls had the Fresco Room. Both were very large, with large bathrooms and beautifully furnished."
"Within the walls of old town Siena and within walking distance to most historical points of interest. We paid only $65.00 for a reasonably clean room with shared bath which was one of the best values we had on a 16 day trip. They have bigger better appointed rooms for more too. Family owned, with family antique furniture, cute courtyard, courteous manager, would recommend for the price."
"This is a glorious treat - and I would be glad to recommend this place to anyone. Signora Masignani is an elegant hostess."
"This place is so nice I hate to let the secret out! I stayed here for a week (Dec. 2003). The hostess and her family are wonderful - friendly and helpful. My room was clean and beautiful. A nice bed, satellite TV, a small fridge, expresso maker and breakfast fixings (buns, juice, coffee, milk) were all part of the room. The room also came with a very large ensuite bathroom - good shower with lots of hot water. The room had a great view of some green space between the town and the walls of Siena. The location is terrific - within walking distance to everything."

"Good value for the money, very central location. Nice bathroom, we stayed in the large room with the window on the ceiling, which was a little odd, but the room was cool with the fan and very quiet. The bed was the largest we had in Italy and very firm."
