Activities/Attractions: Haenertsburg is an attractive village in a beautiful mountain setting with craft shops, stained glass studio, tea gardens, restaurant, pub, and several excellent nurseries nearby. It is renowned for its glorious profusion of flowering cherries and azaleas in the spring and the Cherry blossom festival in late September and early October has become an unusual pilgrimage for tourists. Known as the capital of the ''Land of the Silver mist ", you can enjoy the spectacular mountain views!

Tzaneen is situated in the foothills of the impressive Wolkberg (Cloud Mountain), the mountain reaches of the Drakensberg Mountain range. Tzaneen is the ideal centre from which to explore the region. Within easy reach, the visitor can find archeological sites, the biggest Baobab tree, wildlife and nature reserves and full range of quality tourism facilities and services, catering for all needs and interests of the visitor. Its unique natural scenery provides the most beautiful background for all the recreational and the tourism products and services in the country. Tzaneen is also a birders paradise!

Trout fishing is offered in three dams on the property and at an owned property on the Broederstroom - 10 minutes drive. Fishing can also be arranged in the waters of the local Trout Fishing Association. Forest, riverside and garden walks can be undertaken from the property and hiking, mountain bike, horse and 4x4 trails are in close proximity.

The Kruger National Park Northern gates are only an hour and a half’s drive away on good roads and therefore, Cheerio is an ideal stop over to the Kruger and other private game parks.

"We only stayed overnight - arrived at about 2.00p.m. on Friday 18th May 2007 and were welcomed by Carol who is really a fantastic person. Later I took a walk through the gardens and meet up with Carol who also introduced me to her husband who was also very friendly. The chalet also has everything one wants in it. We had a braai that evening and just sat watching the sun go down. It really was lovely and very quiet. As we had just come from the Kruger National Park this was an ideal place to rest overnight and then carry on with our journey back home to Alberton. We are planning holiday to the Kruger National Park next year in May again and we will (if there is accommodation available) be booking in on our way down and back. I have told all my friends about the place and hope they will all follow our footsteps in the near future."

"Very pleasant stay. Carol and her husband very supportive and friendly."

"Cheerio Farm is in a beautiful part of the country, we would like to go back when the weather is better, we had a very cold night and woke up to a cold, damp foggy morning. Our hostess Carol was very nice and provided us with an adequate breakfast. We were in Rainbow chalet, it was very comfortable and had everything you would need for a self-catering weekend. The best was a lovely log fire which we really enjoyed as it was so cold."

"We came straight here after our flight from the US. What a pleasant and perfect place to stay enroute to the Kruger Park. The owner could not have been more delightful (Carol). And we shall definitely recommend this to our friends and would love to return."

"Very peaceful and quite. Clean, neat and refreshing forest environment. Easy forest walking trails."
