General Information: As an authentic Spanish mansion, the Hemingway Inn is a highly photographed building in San José, Costa Rica. Though the city has grown around it, it was originally built as a large hacienda for the family of a wealthy coffee plantation owner in the 1920's. Still retaining charm, and remodeled to become a bed and breakfast, the Hemingway staff will be very happy to help you in anything that you might need.
