Activities/Attractions: Camden is centrally located in Midcoast Maine which is a great base to explore all of the coast. Guests can venture north to Acadia and explore the southern Maine Coast on day trips. Guests also enjoy 30 incredible miles of hiking trails which are right outside our door. Many trails offer you spectacular views of Penobscot Bay.

The music and culture of Camden, which is a year round community, are fantastic and unique. Plus, many Camden restaurants are locally sourced featuring incredible seasonal specialties. Hawthorn Inn is perfect for enjoying, experiencing and exploring Camden and Midcoast Maine. You can walk to the village center. We are steps from Camden Harbor and guests can see Camden Hills State Park from our front porch!

General Information: Welcome to The Hawthorn Inn in Camden, Maine ... a Queen Anne-style Victorian mansion on 1.2 acres of lawn and gardens situated just steps from picturesque Camden village and Camden Harbor - featuring the beautiful sailing waters of Penobscot Bay and providing spectacular views of Mt. Battie.

The Carriage House boasts four spacious, romantic rooms, one with king bed, three with queen beds; all with super-size, two-person Jacuzzi tubs, views of the gardens and seasonal views of the harbor, private decks and TV/DVDs.

Up the winding staircase in the main house on the second floor are four rooms with private baths. On the main floor of the Main House is a spacious room with a king size bed and private bath.  On the lower level of the main house is a room with a full size bed and Victorian soaking tub.  This room also offers a second sitting room with a daybed. Each room comes with these included amenities:
