Activities/Attractions: Dublin, Ireland's capital city, lies on Dublin Bay and overlooks the Irish sea that divides Ireland and Great Britain. The city ranks among the top tourist destinations in Europe and in the last decade there has been an economic boom, which has seen areas of Dublin change dramatically. Many historical areas have been rejuvenated and restored, new shopping centres have arrived along with restaurants, clubs and bars, making this a very exciting place to stay.

You should visit the excellent museums, amble through the landscaped parks and engage with Dublin’s myriad cultural offerings, but make enough time for socialising, the beating heart that makes this city thrive. Garrulous, amiable and witty, Dubliners at their ease are the greatest hosts of all, providing a life-affirming experience that will restore your faith in human nature.

"A very friendly and warm 'Irish' welcome from the extremely helpful staff who seem to go out of their way to be of assistance. The Anchor Guest House is in a great location to see Dublin city centre as everything is in easy walking distance. We were situated in the back of the hotel and our room was excellent."

"Cozy, comfortable, friendly place to stay in Dublin! This is a family-owned and operated property located within walking distance to Dublin's Talbott Street, O'Connell Street, Temple Bar and Grafton Street. It's not uncommon to have the owner meet you at the door. We have stayed here three times over the past five years, and have never been disappointed."

"The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The Staff couldn't have been nicer to us and helped us with a great many little details that really made our stay in Dublin special."

"A very neat clean b&b in a central location at a affordable price. The staff is friendly and very helpful for any requests you might have for sites to see or places to find. serves a great breakfast every day. I recommend this b&b as a four star establishment. It made our stay quite enjoyable."

"Very central guest house, walking distance to everything in the city, really nicely decorated rooms & very clean. Reasonably priced for a city, 24hr reception, really good breakfast with lovely friendly lady serving. Would definitely stay here again."

"I want to especially praise the staff for all their hard work, helpfulness and friendliness. They were very accommodating. If I were to visit Dublin again, I'd almost certainly want to stay at the Anchor, not only because of the location, which is very convenient (especially for the Busaras), but especially because all the staff were so very friendly and helpful."
