Activities/Attractions: Amsterdam is one of the greatest small cities in the world. From its canals to world-famous museums and historical sights, Amsterdam is one of the most romantic and beautiful cities in Europe. Amsterdam is an unusual city in that it has all the advantages of a big city - culture, history, food, entertainment, good transport - with relatively few of the disadvantages: it is physically small, beautiful, relatively quiet, and largely thanks to the canals, has relatively little traffic.

Amsterdam is a city of tolerance and diversity. It has all the advantages of a big city: culture, history, entertainment, good transport - but is relatively small, quiet, and largely thanks to its canals, has a little road traffic. • The old centre with it's characteristic canals

"I recently went to Amsterdam with a colleague for a conference and we stayed at the Fort Amsterdam. Our stay was wonderful! Our room was clean and nicely decorated, and we had a beautiful view of the canal. Every morning, our hosts provided a simple but delicious breakfast of breads, fruit, and coffee."

"Everything was just perfect - Berry & Marcel looked after us very well - really liked the strawberries & pancakes for breakfast."

"This B&B was fantastic, for everything: the bedroom was very cute, practical and original. Crystal clean!! Berry's breakfast were too good, different every morning. And Berry is very sympathetic, give good advices, I really liked him! Congratulations."

"We went to Amsterdam over a long weekend in September. We'd never been to the city before, but found this B&B to have a great location (walking distance from the main train station) and very friendly owners. Berry was happy to have many conversations with us about things to do in the city, and gave us many "insider" suggestions."

"This B&B is amazing. It is set in the perfect location, on a canal about two roads away from the centre of the red light district. It wasn't too close to everywhere, so you could get to sleep at night, but it literally took 3 minutes to be in the centre of Amsterdam."

"Thank you so much for a wonderful 1st experience in Amsterdam. The apartment was fantastic great location, clean & tidy, very accommodating owners, extremely helpful. Great value for money. Central location but not to loud, so able to sleep well as bedroom to the back of apartment. Will definitely be coming back to stay again. Would recommend this apartment."

"This B&B is well situated, near the train station and the red light district. Yet, it is not noisy. The owners are very accommodating and very friendly. Breakfasts were very good. The room was very clean and well equipped."

"I went to Amsterdam last month and stayed at the new B&B Fort Amsterdam that a friend recommended me. And I can say, that is the best one in town! There are only 2 rooms, that makes it cosy …  and both of them very modern decorated, there is even a plasma TV! The breakfast was great and Berry's hospitality could not be better!"
