Activities/Attractions: Warwickshire, in the heart of England, is one of the most popular and most visited counties in the country. It is most famous for it's castle 'Warwick Castle' one of the great fortresses of Europe. Built on a hill top first fortified by William the Conqueror in 1068. Warwick Castle is a must visit when travelling to England, and there is much to discover in the town of Warwick itself.

A few miles from Warwick is the wonderful riverside town of Stratford Upon Avon - the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Visit his house, where he was born and grew up and the beautiful Holy Trinity church where he was finally laid to rest.

Overall, the county of Warwickshire is a beautiful and exciting county to explore with it's famous castle and historic towns and villages and beautiful green countryside. It is well situated in the heart of England with easy access to the stunning Cotswolds and the neighbouring counties of Oxfordshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Worcestershire and alot of England's most famous cities, including London which is easily accessible to the South East.

"Definitely one of the best B&B's we've stayed in. Room & en-suite bathroom spotlessly clean & tastefully decorated - no nasty chintz or candlewick bedspreads here!! Beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Fabulous breakfast in the most amazing dining room - fresh fruit every morning & the "full English" cooked to order. The hosts couldn't do enough for us - recommending places to visit & local restaurants. Would highly recommend this lovely little B&B - we'd certainly stay there again!"

"The stay was magnificent and it was in such a lovely setting. Although surrounded by beautiful countryside it was still only a short drive to Stratford and Warwick. After a few days trekking around the tourist sites it was such a relief to come back to Saddlebow Cottage. Our double bedroom was spacious, had an ensuite bathroom and was much better than your average bed and breakfast. The classical dining room made breakfast a treat in itself and the massive sitting room was perfect and we had it all to ourselves! The hosts were lovely and made us feel very welcome with a top notch breakfast certainly starting each day off perfectly. I'd say this is probably the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in on holiday."

"We have just returned from the most fabulous B&B. The whole weekend was delightful from the moment we turned up the long drive. What an impressive entrance. The hosts Carol & David went out of their way to make us feel welcome in their home. Saddlebow Cottage combines luxury with home comforts to make your stay a truly relaxing one. If you are looking for a little bit of real England, with a luxurious touch thrown in this is the place for you. We would highly recommend it to anyone."

"Fabulous B&B. Beautiful countryside location. Very clean, tasteful and restful decor. Wonderfully helpful hosts who booked us an excellent local gastro-pub for dinner on our first night. Good size rooms with extremely comfortable beds, ours had a huge six-foot double bed. Lovely bathroom with some high-quality toiletries. Good choice of food for breakfast, served at a time of our choosing. Can't recommend this place enough!"

"We came away impressed and relaxed. As soon as you go up the long drive with the trees either side I knew we would be far from the madding crowd. The bedroom was bigger than ours at home, the sheets and linen made us feel that we were being treated, not your usual b&b naff stuff. The hosts were very friendly and did all they could to help us without being a hassle. The breakfast was great and was locally sourced, which put our eco-conscience at ease. And it was this 'at ease' generally that summed up our stay. Warwickshire was never a place that was at the forefront of my mind for a weekend away but it turned out to be a very interesting place and to stay at Saddlebow Cottage helped make it a perfect weekend."

"We stayed for a short break at the delightful home of David and Carol Wilkins in the Warwickshire countryside. It was very peaceful and comfortable. The large bed was high quality, as were the linen and all the soft furnishings. The bathroom was as new, and we were impressed with the shower, which was reliable and efficient. The breakfast was exactly as ordered and very good indeed. We have stayed at numerous hotels and guest houses in the UK as we enjoy short breaks away, but this one takes a lot of beating."
