Activities/Attractions: Fano is a town and commune of the province of Pesaro and Urbino in the Marche region of Italy. It is a beach resort 12 km southeast of Pesaro, located where the Via Flaminia reaches the Adriatic Sea. It is the third city in the region by population after Ancona and Pesaro.

Villa Giulia quietly stands in the middle of nature, looking out onto the sea amidst gentle hills that are used for growing wheat, grapes and olives. It is a magical, timeless place for a holiday in the heart of the Marche region, but at the same time it is very easy to reach as it is located at less than 500 meters from the Adriatic state highway that connects Pesaro to Fano.

  • The residence is the ideal base for visiting the wonderful cities of art in the Marche, Umbria and Emilia Romagna regions such as Urbino, Gubbio, Assisi, Perugia and Ravenna
  • And for discovering the natural beauty of various protected areas such as the San Bartolo Park and the Conero Park
  • Among the beachfront Marche hotels, Relais Villa Giulia faces a stretch of waterfront named Costa delle Colline due to the slopes that dip towards the ocean among breath taking scenery and the spectacular cliff's overhanging rocks
  • The Monte San Bartolo Park safeguards the untamed beach of Fiorenzuola di Focara while Pesaro and Fano in Gabicce Mare offer beachfront establishments with modern comforts
  • In an hour's drive from the hotel, like a glowing jewel, you will find the Rivera del Conero, with it's green Park del Conero set against the deep turquoise blue ocean in the backdrop
  • A visit to the beautiful white sand sister beaches of Sassi neri and Gabbiani, and trekking in the Parco amongst breathtaking panoramic views is a must when vacationing in the Marche seaside

"Villa Giulia is a gem. It sits on a small hill, overlooking the Adriatic. We stayed in the dependency in a large, well furnished room with an ocean view. We were greeted with great affability, offered a refreshing drink and shown around the extensive grounds. The villa is a gorgeous, comfortable Napoleonic era building with large doors opening onto a wide lawn. Food was well prepared and more than ample. We shall return!"

"It is a rare privileges to come across a magical place where you are treated both as royalty and family at the same time, but that is exactly what the Contessa Anna Passi offers at the Villa Giulia, her family’s former summer estate, now a elegant and yet very welcoming bed and breakfast. Villa Giulia is the personification of charm and felicity and it is embodied in the very being of Contessa Passi, who will do everything she can to ensure your stay is all you expect and even more."

"If you want a taste of heaven stay at the Villa Giulia in the beautiful resort of Fano. The view is unbelievable and in the evenings the atmosphere on the terrace is the most romantic place on earth. The owner Mrs. Anna is a very charming lady who makes all her efforts to make your stay as memorable as possible. We stayed in one of the main villa so romantic rooms overlooking the Italian gardens and the room was just fabulous - the bathrooms are huge! Every detail is perfect and if you're looking for the perfect honeymoon destination then this has got to be it. We were surprised by the beauty of the town of Fano at just 5 minutes drive, much less known than Rimini and Riccione but much nicer, a truly awesome small medieval Italian town so clean and sunny. I would recommend this Relais and the resort of Fano to everyone travelling in the Italian Adriatic coast and grazie Mrs. Anna, we miss you!"

"This is a hotel with a small number of rooms combined with a small number of self catering cottages set in a vineyard and olive grove. It really is idyllic. It is quite small and there is a very friendly atmosphere created by the small team who look after you. They gave us lots of advice on where to find local produce - wine and olive oil. Swimming in the pool in the middle of an olive grove was definitely unique! Would recommend this to anyone."

"Villa Giulia is a fabulous place. For peace and quiet, you can't beat it. Lots of places to sit outside mean that you can imagine yourself back in the last century with Italian nobility on a summer holiday. For us it was perfect. Anna speaks excellent English, and the other staff members communicate very well."

"Coming to Villa Giulia is like entering a different world: a world of beauty and harmony, of sweetness and peace, where one could like to stay forever. We thank our dear hosts for their warm and gracious hospitality and for making us feel like real guests of the family. We are very sad to leave but we'll come back next year. Arrivederci!"

"This is a beautiful house rich in history and interest in a delightful setting. The staff are courteous and friendly and the breakfast delicious and plentiful."
