Activities/Attractions: Cape Town is a city of culture, built on a history that reflects in the architecture, cuisine, music and dance. Together with a warm summer and temperate winter climate and a friendly community, the Western Cape and the Mother City are an ideal holiday destination throughout the year.

Up to the thirties, Sea Point was a little seaside resort out of town, where affluent Capetonian citizens had their holiday and weekend homes ... but today Sea Point is Cape Town’s most densely populated suburb, with hotels and apartments all along the high-rise seafront. Before the V&A Waterfront, this was Cape Town’s evening hot spot, but is now more frequented by locals than by visitors.

The promenade of Sea Point, which stretches to Mouille Point, is very popular. It is a jogger's mile and many people meet here for a walk and a talk. The neighbouring suburb of Green Point is famous for its big Sunday market; a flea market with thousands of stalls around the stadium. Mainly African arts & crafts are being sold here. Olaf's Guest House is within reach of most of Cape Town's major points of interest and Sea Point's popular Promenade... situated five minutes drive from the city centre. Fabulous Fabulous shopping centres, breathtaking beaches, the exciting Waterfront, the Promenade and major bus routes are within walking distance.

  • Sea Point Main Road is packed with restaurants and shops
  • It generates a Mediterranean ambience that is reflected in its variety of Cuisine
  • This cosmopolitan area is a culinary and nightlife delight
  • The Sea Point promenade is popular among walkers, especially those seeking a splendid sunset

"Olaf's is a firm favourite with its regular guests, who return year after year for its combination of warm, friendly service and good facilities. The decor here is far from the usual B&B chintz, with warm yellow walls in the sitting room, funky leopard print sofas and attractive wrought-iron chairs, as well as complementary decanters of port and sherry and a shelf full of books to take to the beach. It's homely, but at the same time smart and quite contemporary. The bedrooms are also very attractively designed, with jute carpets, smart suede bedsteads, comfy armchairs and interesting botanical pictures on the walls. The bathrooms are also spacious and attractive, with roomy corner showers."
