Activities/Attractions: Settled in 1623 and Maine's oldest town, Kittery is famous for ship building and is home to some of the oldest houses in Maine. From Garrisons to Capes all the typical colonial architecture of early America can be found here. Kittery also offers some beautiful seashore vistas and beaches.

The Chickadee is within walking distance to the famous Kittery Outlet Malls, and within minutes to some of Southern Maine’s picturesque beaches and tourist attractions.

In Portsmouth, New Hampshire, just across the river, you can enjoy antique shops, galleries, museums, restaurants and more. Big city life is only forty-five minutes away in Boston, Massachusetts or Portland, Maine.

General Information: Welcome to the Chickadee Bed and Breakfast located in Kittery, Maine ... commonly called the Gateway to Maine and famous for its outlet malls, excellent seafood, and picturesque beaches, a wonderful vacation destination for all ages.

At the Chickadee you can relax or stay as busy as you like. Come join us in any season and experience the tranquility and beauty of "the way life should be". The Chickadee B&B is a beautiful colonial home built in the late 1800s that features:

• a gracious front porch for rocking or enjoying a good book

Each morning, from 8 am to 10 am, a continental breakfast is served in the dining room. Feel free to eat on the porch or by the pool. In the afternoon a snack is always available, cookies, ice tea, lemonade, or crackers and cheese with a glass of wine. 

You can enter the Nature Trail from the Chickadee now, it’s a beautiful walk, I highly recommend it and so do our guests. We have hooked up with a deep sea fishing company just down the street who promises a real fishing adventure. Two miles from the Chickadee is a new indoor Golf range, an outdoor mini golf course, and a baseball batting cage. We hope you’ll come stay with us.
